The Sweet Escape

Hello, Lovelies!

It has been A LONG WHILE since I have shared new content with you, but I am back in action now! The last few months I have been on a bit of a blogging hiatus as I have been focusing all of my time and energy into a couple of very special and exciting projects that will be revealed to you all shortly!

I will be back here much more regularly now - with new posts coming your way every Wednesday! Be sure to subscribe to be notified when there are new posts and to join our Email Family for exclusive content!

Anyhooo, I recently went on a much-needed week long camping trip. While away, I found myself doing a lot of self-reflection and observing of the world around me. As always, I had my trusty notebook with me and jotted down a few random ramblings while taking in the peaceful world around me. I thought I would share those musings with you all for this first post back after a long break from the blog as a means of refocusing and refreshing. I hope you enjoy delving into the random thoughts that occupy my mind!

Without further adieu, let’s get to it shall we?!

I often wonder what life was like,

when the rivers flowed free

and the trees grew high.

Of a time not tainted by the touch of humanity,

when the air was pure and oceans alive.

As I lay in the sand gazing across the water, I can’t help but find solace as the waves of peace wash over my mind and soul.

Like the birds in the sky, I am free here.

In this place, I can breathe steadily and sleep easy.

I feel detached from the world, yet have never felt more connected.

I feel alone with my thoughts but have never felt so calm and strong.

I can close my eyes and dissolve my fears as I allow them to float away from my mind.

I know now, more than ever, that you can choose how you want to spend your time on this earth.

You can live the life you want to live, free of the scrutiny of society and the judgment of onlookers.

Just inhale deeply and escape often.

Thank you for reading another one of my random musings and joining me on this journey! I hope that you are all staying safe and well in this wild world.

Be sure to share this post with others and let me know in the comments below what your sweet escape is. Is it a cottage in the woods, a sunset covered beach, or a night on the town? What serves your soul to enable you to reflect on life and be the best you can be?

See you in the next one, lovelies!

Yours Happily,

Kristyn xo
